The Challenge

To develop an automated shopping cart based web-site providing children’s business cards in the US. The company wanted to develop an interactive site for kids where they could come and freely build and print quality business/fun cards for their personal use. Major issues were: ease of usability to contrast with the tender minds of kids and a system that would address privacy policy concerns of kids and their parents.

On being awarded the contract Scriptbean proceeded to develop a unique site which would allow children to interactively design business cards. The entire site with all its facilities was designed and developed within a time frame of three and a half months. Facilities provided include:

1. Kids below 13 require parent permission before accessing facilities of site .Achieved through e-mailing parents.

2. A bi-monthly changing range of border design.

3. A wish list presentation to parents, who then have the option of purchasing the card/s or allowing Third Party purchase.

4. A "My Room" link for kids where they can update their profiles and wish list, store personal information & store friends business cards.

Creative Achievements

At the end of the period, the company achieved far more then the set targets. The entire site was implemented without installing any special components on either the server or the client. Some achievements include:

1. User can immediately change font color and the color of the cards.
2. Low resolution design accompanied by high resolution printing.
3. A unique method of dragging objects to exactly position them as desired.
